The “semedaki” project
Doilies or “semedakia”: Hated them as a child, adoring them now! So, I came up with the idea of putting them in various beautiful frames and voila, my growing doilies and embroidery collection, all unique and exceptionally handmade by my dear grandmother! Changed your mind about them, haven’t you? All you need is to unbury your precious vintage doilies and emboidery, some gorgeous frames and a piece of dark fabric to use as background. I have placed my collection over my bed and I just can’t get enough of them!
